About Liendo Landscaping

Liendo Landscaping is an owner-run crew, not a sales office that hands you off to a foreman you have never met. Whoever writes your proposal is one of the people building the job. Reviews keep using the same word for the crew: conscientious. That is the bar. The work is landscape construction and masonry: paver patios and walkways, natural stone, block and boulder retaining walls, fire pits, sod, gravel paths, xeriscape and native plantings, and fall cleanups.

Some jobs start with a drawing instead of a number. We do layouts, plant plans and material picks, and we phase the plan so the patio can go in this year and the planting beds the next. The design gets drawn around what the site allows — access, grade, where water already runs — so what you are holding is buildable, not a picture. Design work gets quoted the same way the build does, in writing, before it starts.

Everything hard goes on 3/4" clean crushed base, 8" to 16" deep depending on the soil and the application, compacted in lifts. A walking patio on gravelly ground sits at the shallow end; a driveway apron on clay sits at the deep end. The proposal states the depth we are building to before you sign, so there is no renegotiation once the ground is open.

Three things happen on every job. You get the scope in writing before work starts, with materials and exclusions listed. You get updates while the crew is on site — arrival times, what changed, what we found once the ground was open. And you hear from us after it is done, to check how it is holding up. Change orders go in writing and get your sign-off before they get built, so the number at the end is the number you agreed to. If something goes sideways, you hear it from us first.

Bozeman is home base, and most jobs are inside the Gallatin Valley: Bozeman, Belgrade, Four Corners, Gallatin Gateway and Three Forks. We also take work up the canyon in Big Sky, where the shorter season gets planned around rather than discovered in October. If a job is not the kind of work we do, we say so before anyone drives out.
